This year's Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) at CtK was a huge success! Students were encouraged to explore a variety of literary texts and will be recognised for their efforts with a Certificate of Achievement signed by the Premier of Queensland.

The whole school participated in the challenge, with the top 10 readers earning a special showbag prize.

To make the challenge more engaging, students were able to visually track their progress by colouring sections of a reading serpent for each completed log.

At the end of the challenge, students had the opportunity to estimate the length of the reading serpent for a chance to win a jar of snake lollies. It was a fun and rewarding experience for all involved. Congratulations to all the students who took part in the PRC 2024!

Well done Allegra (1A) and Leo (2L) for being the closest guess. Our Reading Serpent was over 8m long.
