Sport News

What a huge week it was last week for our CtK students at District Athletics and All Schools Oztag. We had 46 students compete all things Track & Field across 2 days at Zammit Oval with some outstanding individual results! Our boys competed so well and came away with 7th place overall out of 12 schools which is incredible considering we are in competition with the schools such as Southern Cross, Mueller College, Grace and all the large state schools on the peninsula. To finish the carnival our 9 & 10-year-old boys WON the 4 x 100m Relay and our 12-year-old boys placed 4th!

Our latest newsletter includes our best individual results, and we wish Mia and Chase well at the Regional Athletics at the end of August.

All schools Oztag took place at Sunshine Coast Stadium over 3 days last weekend. CtK had a Boys Year 5 Team and a Girls Year 4-6 Team. Our girls were up against it competing against Year 6 teams but took on every team as a new challenge with smiles on their faces and fire in their belly. Our boys won most of their games in the round games and progressed to the quarter finals which they won making it to the semifinals in their first time in this competition. Buddina State School were too good for us on the day, but the boys were awesome throughout the carnival! A special thank you to the Emery family for their coaching in the months leading up to the carnival and over the weekend - you guys rock! We can't wait for 2025.
